I was gifted a product from Purgasm Shop in exchange for this review, however all opinions are my own.
I’m writing this from the bathroom, in a bathrobe, with the door locked. Yes, all that. Why? Because no good mom would ever take 20 minutes to herself to get a shower in peace. It’s ludicrous and we just don’t do that kind of thing. At least if you ask our toddlers.
Shout out to the great moms out there who know what “Netflix + chill” really means.
Sarcasm aside, I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve sat here. Hiding. From their million and one questions. And what is it about the bathroom that just compels kids to come and ask you the wildest things?
So yes, I’ve taken to the bathroom in protest…and as an act of self love.
I’m just getting finished with my after shower ritual. A MUST for my own sanity. Y’all know I’m a sucker for low cost, high quality luxury. This brief moment of mommy me time was made possible by Hubz wrangling the boys into their 6 millionth viewing of Dr. Suess’s The Lorax.
It’s been a long, rough day with those guys and frankly, I’m tired.
After morning lessons, cooking three meals and busting my butt all day doing “bootstrap” branding, my mind was beat and as my grandma would say “my dogs was barkin’ ”
This bath bomb from Purgasm Shop was right on time and more than welcome to take me away tonight. I met the owner, Nicole at a natural hair event and she convinced me that I had to try one of her ‘Romance’ bath bombs on one of our “at home honeymoon” nights. (Yea, we do that lol!)
But hold up, stop the track! I don’t even have a tub anymore! What was I thinking? But before I added that to my list of stress troubles, your girl made it work. I seamlessly turned that beautiful bath bomb into a handheld shower bar. Amazed my damn self. LOL!
The fuzziness added to my suds and made the rose scent really disperse well.
It was pure joy. The sweet rose scent + my favorite natural rose soap + hot hot shower helped me soothe my all tension right away.
I always follow up my showers with rose water on my face and flower oil added to my body moisturizer. It’s my way of letting my body know “I got you girl”, and a part of my self care ritual that I try to never skimp on.
One thing I can say about taking showers over baths for my “me time” is that I can’t hear the kids in there. Silence is really golden… And the great thing about husbands is, their presence makes the silence of two toddler boys much less suspicious.
Peace , Love & Pampering
