How to get it all done during the busy season when all you want is a nap.
I’m writing this from my soul right now. All I want is a 15-hour nap. Is that too much to ask?
This week I’ve nursed 3 sniffly children back to wellness, hosted a 2 hour Masterclass, held 4 coaching calls and 1 in-person session – and it’s only midweek!
To top it off, my 6-year old just interrupted what would’ve been the best nap ever by turning on the bedroom light. I was all up inside the covers y’all! Snuggled and 5 seconds from snoozing and suddenly, my bathroom is the only one in the house that works, and his 6-year old bladder became geriatric. ?
I would laugh – but no.
Every mama has been here so I know you feel me. With all the busy-ness of the season, plus the normal craziness of family life, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. The week gets away from you and hump day just hops right on top of you! What do you do when you must stay up because you must get it all done? Well, if you’re as crunchy as I am you find yourself a superfood, because coffee is for suckers. ? I kid. I kid.
But really, I can’t take the crash that comes after that buzz, and I’m an “ingredient freak”. I will block the aisles for days reading labels. Those are two of the reasons I became a fan of youtheory® Maca Root. I needed the stamina to push through and youtheory Maca Root tablets helped me keep going, without the nasty after affects. Bonus, I found them at at a great price on Costco.com. Costco is bae when you have a family of five.
So what is Maca Root? Maca, also called Peruvian Ginseng, is actually a root vegetable cultivated in the Andes Mountains. It’s historically used for nutritional and health purposes but it’s an adaptogenic botanical that is now being labeled a superfood.
I was slow to jump on the bandwagon at first, but y’all know how I am about women’s health and youtheory® Maca Root is a winner in that category. It’s known to help with PMS*, menopause*, hormonal balance*, sexual function*, and of course give you a beautiful boost in energy* when you need it. It’s great for men’s health too. Hubz can attest.
I’ve been using Maca Root in powder form for years now. The powder has an interesting texture which can be pretty hard to swallow, but I recently found the youtheory® Maca Root tablets which make it so much easier. While I’ve strayed away from tablets in the past…because fillers, youtheory® Maca Root is made with 100% Peruvian grown material. They’re also dairy, soy, and gluten free – which is a huge plus since we’ve been eating an alkaline diet.
I took two tablets and had a fresh picked grapefruit, we have a tree, right after my son’s little bathroom fiasco. It helped me push through the day with a smooth, alert energy. I love when I find foods that support my body and give me that extra boost without making me feel like I’ve had a spoonful of sugar. I love it even more when I can save some money on great supplements.
You can grab a bottle of 240 tablets on Costco.com. You don’t have to be a member to shop from the website and there’s only a small 5% surcharge for non-members.
youtheory® is the brand I trust and you can check out their Social Hub for more info on all of their amazing, natural products.
The little ones will be home for a week for fall break so I’m making sure to get some zzz’s in while they’re in school tomorrow!
